Quick Backcountry Adventure

,

On our rainy way north, we stopped by the very green and clear Herbert Lake:

Next, our goal was to hike to Hector Lake. On our way, we figured out that wading through larger creeks can now be a necessity to follow the trails. We didn’t do it and instead walked 2km through the wild terrain using our Garmin Inreach Explorer for navigation. It wasn’t easy to “hike” through the marshlands either, but it was worth it. In the end, we reached the shores of the lake and even saw bald eagles.
